Pran Kishore Kaul is a Kashmiri stage personality. In addition to acting, he has directed and written screenplays. He is best known as the writer and creator of the Doordarshan television serial Gul Gulshan Gulfam. He was bestowed an award from the Sahitya Natak Academy for his novel Sheen Ta Vatepod. He is one of the founders of the Miltsar Kashmir Music & Dance Group, a group that travels widely with the goal of supporting Kashmiri and Indian arts. He is also a recipient of Silver Peacock for the feature film Maanzirath. He has been a key player in the major cultural activities that have taken place in the Kashmir valley, thus making a unique contribution and earning a significant position in the field of Kashmiri art and cinema.
